Why choose modular?

When the opportunity arose to build our custom home, our family had to make a choice: compromise and not get exactly what we wanted, or blow the budget. Instead, by exploring a burgeoning home construction technology, we were able to find an innovative way to build the house we wanted. How? We built a custom designed house in a state-of-the-art factory in another state with lower wage and infrastructure costs and trucked it in. As a bonus, the house also has 30% more lumber than a traditional stick built house (making it stronger) was built indoors (protecting it from weather and mold damage) and took less than 8 weeks to build on the factory floor. It was built and inspected to the most current California building codes. And it's beautiful.
